Rangers have been given the privilege of kicking of the new campaign for the Premier Division of the SW Peninsula League tonight against newly promoted Plymouth Argyle Reserves. A bumper crowd is expected for the curtain raiser with many Argyle supporters sure to be in attendance to see their promising fringe players in action.
Their team will be managed by Kevin Nacekevill which will add a bit of spice to the occasion as he was an old team mate of Hedley and Matthew at Tiverton.
Hedley commented “It will be great to meet up with Nance again, he has done fantastically well in his coaching career and he is sure to have his team fully primed for tonight’s fixture but we will be ready for the challenge. There is a lot at stake tonight for at the end of the game one team will be top of the league and one will be bottom, unless, of course it’s a draw!”
