Goals from Josh Grant mid way through the first half and second period were enough to cement Tavistock’s position at the top of the table. Rangers stuck to their task manfully but were beatewn by a better team and it was plain for all to see why the visitors are clear favourites to win the league for the first time in their history. Marcus Fanson offered the home team a glimmer of hope when he rattled the crossbar with the score at 1-0 but that was as near as we got. We must not forget however, that this was Rangers third game in six days, all against quality opposition and they are to be commended on the way they battled away to the final whistle.
