Reserves put a brave show against a talented Aplhington side on Tuesdat night but eventually went down to a late winner. With what wa aprroaching a full strength squad alkthough some key players were missing Rangers found thmeselves behind when a long through ball caught our defence square. But we were straight back into the game when Ryan Clarke was upended in the box and Lee Riggs cooly stroked home the penalty. Just before half time and Rangers were in front when Ryan broke clear to score. The referee then levelled up the penalty decisions when the home side were given the benefit of a soft spot kick. Just when we thought we had secured a point Alpha grabbed the all important third goal which proved to be the winner.
Ironically the Reserves can now rest for two weeks as they await their next fixture.
