After a poor run of results Rangers found ther form at Sidmouth on Wednesday night running out comfortable winners 5-1.
We were quickly out of the starting blocks and we were quickly into the lead when Ollie Aplin latched onto a Bailo through ball after only 5 minutes to give us a lead. It was all Rangers now and on 20 minutes it was Ollie again, this time a great near post header fro a Donohue cross and that is how it stayed until half time.
Immediately after the restart the game was effectively put to bed as Ash Donohue squeezed the third goal home from an acute angle. On the hour Ash got his second after collecting a through ball from Greeno and then with just five minutes to go Brandon Parsons swept the ball home from the edge of the box to make it five. All credit to Sidmouth they kept plugging away and were rewarded with a consolation goal in injury time.
Liam was in bouyant mood after the game. “Tonight we had the rub of the green which we have not enjoyed of late, for example Ollie’s sescond goal was a superb finish which went in off the inside of the post, in recent weeks that would have come out. I thought we were much sharper all over the pitch and were good value for what was a comprehensive win.”
