It is easy to see why Plymouth Parkway are one of the hot favourites to win the League this season as they outclassed us at Edenvale Park last night. WE competed well for the first half hour but the sloppy defending at a corner enabled Krac to head home at the near post. Beechy then had a great chance to put things level but his close range header just cleared the bar and from the goal kick Parkway raced away and won a penalty deep into injury time in the first period and up stepped Glyn Hobbs to blast home the spot kick.
It was mainly one way traffic in the second half but it was not until late in the game that the goals started to flow as our lads tired after having to chase the ball for long periods. The final scoreline was 6-0 which included a Glyn Hobbs hat trick and it was a huge relief when the excellent referee Andrew Thomson blew the final whistle to put us out of our misery.
