Rangers put up a spirited display against a strong Tivvy outfit and deservedly came away with a 1-1 draw.
Tivvy were the better side for the first half hour and both Landricombe brothers squandered good chances as the visitors showed their class but it was the home team who came closest to breaking the deadlock when Alex Greening rattled the crossbar from 20 yards just before the break.
Honours were even in the second half until, on the hour Brad Kelly was robbed as he tried to shield the ball away for a goal kick and Davies crossed for Josh Key to head home from close range at the near post. Rangers quickly bounced back with a superb goal created by Isaac Reed and Mitch Thomas down the left flank which resulted in a fine cross finding the head of Jordan Harris who made no mistake from eight yards with a bullet header. Rangers almost clinched what would have been a memorable victory but Brad Riggs was left in the clear after playing a one two with Langers but he screwed his shot just wide.
A great work out for both teams.
