Hedley was delighted with the performance of his squad as they came back from a 2-0 deficit at half time to dominate the second half and come away with a well deserved draw.
It looked plain sailing for Tivvy as they swept into a two goal lead thanks to an unfortunate own goal and then a typical Levi Landricombe effort as he raced away from the Rangers defence showing no sign of his recent knee problem which must have been a real bonus for Martyn Rogers. But the second period saw the home team put their opponents under pressure from the start and Tivvy were on the back foot and were allowed only one shot on target during the total 45 minutes. Ash Donahue pulled a goal back with twenty minutes left on the clock with a characteristic left footed drive from an acute angle. Rangers then squandered several chances before Ash blasted home a free kick with only seconds left on the clock to give Rangers the draw which they so richly deserved.
As Hedley commented afterwards “That is the mind set I require from my team when we take on Callington on Saturday. It is no good if we think we have cracked it my drawing with Tiverton because we will come down to earth with a bang if we don’t adopt the same attitude and determination this weekend.”
