Cully took revenge for their 2-0 defeat at Launceston last week when they ran out 4-0 winners on Wednesday night. Both teams fielded virtually the same eleven so it is hard to fathom out why we performed so badly at their place.
Tom Beddow opened the scoring in the first half with a clinical finish. Ollie Aplin then got in on the act snapping up a chance after Bailo’s shot was blocked and then finished off a great cross by the excellent Ash Donahue. Bed’s then got his second as he muscled his way on to a through ball to score in style. After the game Hedley was naturally delighted with the three points “I did not want the season to fizzle out tamely so this was just the result I was looking for after a couple of average performances. Somehow the lads dug deep after all the games recently to put in a real shift and they got what they deserved for their efforts. Hopefully we can hit the 61 point mark on Saturday with a win and give ourselves an excellent chance of getting into the FA Cup next season.
