Rangers were certainly not at the races for the first twenty minutes of this game as they tried to shake off the effects of a long journey and numerous games in the last week or so. As a result they found themselves 2-0 down but after a few harsh words from the management team in the dug out the lads found their feet and went on to take the lion’s share of the game but still had nothing to show for their efforts.
The second half was a much improved performance with Sticker on the back foot for long periods and despite creating numerous chances from open play it was from two corners which brought Rangers success. Firstly Greeno’s inswinging corner from the right was helped in by a defender and then from the left Joe O’Loughlin’s corner had the same result.
This was another fine performance from Rangers which, with a bit of luck should have yielded all three points as in the words of the Sticker manager after the game “I was happy with the point in the end. You tore us to shreds in the second half.”
So a well earned point from our first visit to a very friendly club with excellent facilities.
