Rangers fought back from a goal down with an impressive second half performance and ran out winners by 2 goals to 1. Barnstaple were certainly the better side in the first half and were guilty of several missed opportunities as the home team were tested by the pace of the Barnstaple front line and it was no surprise when ex Cully player Brad Kelly gave them the lead. The second half was a different story as Rangers enjoyed more possession and they deservedly equalised when Jordan Harris cut in from the left and his shot home. This was quickly followed by a fine individual effort from Mitch Thomas. Numerous changes followed from both managers as the game ebbed to a close.
Manager Liam Raybould commented “I was not impressed with the first 45 minutes as I felt that we had let our standards drop a little from the previous two friendlies but the second half was much more encouraging and more at the level which we expect.”
