On a cold windless November evening both teams fought out an entertaining well earned draw. With play sweeping from one end to the other play began with both sides pushing for the advantage.
It was not until late towards the break that the best chances occurred. An excellent cross from the impressive James Ansell was well met by Ollie Aplin with the goal gapping, only to see his excellent header flash over the bar with Tivvy ‘keeper John Wannell well beaten.
Quickly towards the other end Tivvy defender Chris Ibbesson found himself with the ball at his feet in the 6 yard box, with only Dom in the Cully goal to beat, but somehow contrived to miss his chance.
The second half continued in similar style and but for an excellent save from Dom after 15 minutes Cully could have fallen behind. Good refereeing throughout from Hilary Achegenui kept the game under control, and despite a furious pace neither side could crack each others solid defence.
Both Teams will be happy with the point gained, on what proved to be a most enjoyable evening in mid-Devon.
