Hedley was naturally very disappointed with the performance at Stoke Gabriel last saturday. We just did not get out of third gear for some reason which I found most disturbing. There was no real spark to our game and if you add into that some very basic errors then there is only going to be one outcome and there is no doubt that Stoke were deserved winners on the day. We need to work that lethargy out of our system at training on Tuesday night as we prepare for the FA Vase game on Saturday which is a huge fixture for the Club which we would desperately like to make a mark in what is a National competition. Budleigh won’t be easy and they will be relishing playing at Edenvale Park, especially after their excellent 6-2 victory over Teignmouth at the weekend.”
