Hedley was really pleased that his team came away from Ivybridge with the three points having travelled down there missing three of his starting line up from the St Austell game. James Ansell and Ash Donahue both had injuries and Tom Beddow had family commitments. So into the team came Langers, Beechy and Marcus Fanson, pretty good replacements I think you will agree. “This was a potential banana skin for us but we put in the necessary work to enable us to get the three points. It would have been disappointing for me to have dropped points after the St Austell performance but thankfully that was not the case. As I said earlier I had two of my would be starting line up cry off at 11am so I was left with a problem as to how best I could fill the void left by the withdrawls. In the end we deployed Beechy as a striker and played two of our speedsters up alongside him and certainly posed problems for the opposition. The early exchanges were even although we had a coule of one on one chances which we squandered and that would have given us some breathing space. Ivybridge made it really difficult for us as you would expect from any team managed by Nick Marker but we really battled and matched their effort and I feel that we ran out deserved winners thanks to two goals from Greeno and one from Marcus.”
