Manager Liam Raybould was pleased with his team’s performance against Buckland Athletic on Monday night. They went ahead with a bit of a questionable penalty late in the first half, new signing Jordan Harris then rattled the inside of the post just before the break and the ball broke to the other end of the pitch and Buckland doubled their lead with a 25 yard screamer. Mid way through the second half Ash Donahue broke down the left and their keeper could only parry his shot into the path of Jordan who made amends for his earlier miss. Virtually with the last kick of the game Buckland resored their two goal lead. “This was another exclellent work out for our lads and playing aginst teams from a higher league is a great test for us but I think we have come through both games with a lot of positives.”
Next up is Barnstaple on Friday night with a 7.45pm ko.
