“The 5-1 vistory was a really pleasing result because in one or two games this season we have been on the end of a fortunate goal rush from our opponents but saturday we reversed the tables and took full advantage of some sloppy play from the home team. The game hinged on a “funny” ten minutes early in the second half when Camelford missed a “Sitter” which would have levelled the scores at 2-2 but then Isaac produced a bit of magic wide on the left and Beecht was on hand to score with a bullet header. Their keeper then had two moments of misfortune when firstly he was robbed by Marcus Fanson as he tried to dribble the ball out and only minutes later his throw to his full back hit the back of another defender leaving Marcus with the easiest of chances to complete his hat trick. That was game over and we were comfortable for the remainder of the game although Dan Law was called on to make a great save near the end. We went there with a depleted side missing three regulars so it was’nt our strongest squad but everyone rolled this sleeves up and put in a good shift. Saturday we face Helston who will be out for revenge after we beat them 4-1 at their place just a few weeks ago. But this will be no walk over and if we go into the game in the wrong frame of mind we are likely to get a slap in the face. If we carry on and do the ugly hard work which is needed we should be ok. Robbie Bowker and Ollie Aplin should return to the squad although there are doubts about Tom Beddow(broken nose) and Adam Langabeer who had to be helped off at Camelford with a groin injury.”
