Rangers were disappointed to leave high flying Saltash pointless last night. Rangers had the better of the first half with keeper Nathan having a very quiet first 45 minutes. We created a couple of chances for Ash but his normally lethal left foot lry hoim down and Greeno will think that he could have maybe done better with a far post header from a pin point Isaac cross.
The second half prooved much tougher as Saltash introduced a couple of quality substitutes and went on to dictate play for long periods but we held firm until just past the hour before conceding. Three substitues were introduced by Rangers but they failed to make much impact on a well drilled Saltash back line although we stayed in the game until the very last minute when the home team converted a free kick from the edge of the area. There was not even time to restart the game.
This was a good effort against a quality side who will not be far away from honours again this season having finished runners up last season.
