Rangers ran riot in the first half at Godolphin on Saturday scoring five goals. With a gale force wind at their backs and the slope in their favour we knew we had to make the most of the elements in the first 45 minutes and we certainly did that. It only took us two minutes to open the scoring when Ashley’s cross was bundled in at the near post by Oliie Aplin to bring his total to twenty for the season. Ten minutes later Ash was provider again as Tom Beddow met his crosss at the near post to double the lead. Tom then got his second as he rose highest from a corner which was’nt cleared properly to nod home the third. Beechy then got on the end of a great cross from Tom to nod home the fourth almost demolitioning the goal post in the process. Dan Baily then set up Ollie for a tap in right on half time to give us a five goal cushion. It was our turn to face the the worst of the conditions in the second period and we defended superbly throughout restricting the home team to a few long range efforts. Indeed we should have added to our own tally but were guilty of some glaring misses. A special mention must be made in thanks to Liam who took on the manager’s role as well as the goalkeeping duties. It was great that he was rewarded with a clean sheet and three points.
