Jamie Cottrell today announced that he is hanging up his boots at the ripe old age of 37. Jamie has been a terrific servant and despite many offers earlier in his playing days he has remained loyal to Rangers throughout. A troublesome ankle injury has plagued him over the past couple of seasons, hence the reason to call it a day.
He sent the club an e.mail which sums the man up “On a personal note I would like to say thank you to everyone at the Club for all that they have done for me and the lads over the years. It’s been the best place I could have hoped to play my football but I am now looking forward to watching with a San Miguel.”
I am sure that the Club will find some way to thank Jamie for his loyalty.
