Rangers were a match for their opponents in the first half but still trailed to a goal after 30 minutes. Clive rang the changes in the second half giving some promising players from the Reserves a chance to pit their wits against a team from a higher league and under the heat of the raging sun they found it difficult and eventually we went down 5-0. Clive said after the game “I wanted to give all the lads who turned up a chance to impress and I must say a couple of lads did not disappoint but the experience of Buckland told in the end. We now look forward to the visit of Tiverton on Tuesday night when I hope that some of the esteblished players will be fit after suffering knocks which kept them out of Saturday’s game.”
