Cullompton were on their travels again this weekend with a trip to Teignmouth.
The manager was able to recall Lucas White to the side, giving him a near full squad.
Straightaway Lucas showed how he had been missed, when he cut in from the right to score with his left foot sending the ball into the far corner.
The goal after a minute gave Cully a great start, and they began to play with confidence taking the game to the opposition, creating some good scoring opportunities. It was from such an attack that Teignmouth drew level, against the run of play. The keeper collected the ball, launched it into Cully’s half where the bounce deceived both Luke and Sam, allowing former Cully player Ashley Donohue the simple task of slipping the ball into an empty net.
Cully took this set back in their stride They were again on the attack, creating a couple of chances before the break.
The second half became a game where both sides defended well, and only half chances were created.
The game itself became littered with heavy challenges, petty fouls and some strange refereeing decisions.
Nevertheless Cully fully deserved a point, and would now hope to continue the season on a positive note.
