Rangers travelled to Dartmouth Saturday and came home with hard earned point against a strong Dartmouth side.
Rangers started the game well playing some of our best football for a while but without really threatening the hosts goal . Dartmouth gradually grew into the game and we were thankful to Luke Vernon in goal who was called upon to make a couple of decent saves . Rangers going closest with a Jack Bryant header that just cleared the crossbar .
Rangers started the second half poorly and a mix of poor finishing and great goalkeeping from Luke kept us in the game . Sam Rawlings replaced Brad Riggs after 55mins who went off with a groin injury and then on the hour we lost Jack Lewis who was sent off for a second yellow card after a deliberate handball in the opposition half . This seemed to spark Rangers back into life with the front two of Aiden Horne and Jack Bryant still looking a threat and the back four dealing well with the Dartmouth attacks .
Ben Scott replaced Langers with15 mins to go and we managed to hang on for a point , Luke Vernon pulling off another couple of great saves to keep a clean sheet .
In all honesty Dartmouth will feel they should have taken all 3 points but we battled hard , rode our luck at times and will take the point .
