Dartmouth was the destination for Cullompton’s penultimate game of the season.
Dartmouth kicked off but it was Cullompton who made the better start, taking the game to the home side. After 15 minutes Aiden Horne latched onto a through ball from Sam Bryant, slotting home from 12 yards.
Cullompton were on top for most of the first half, and the only surprise was that we had to wait on 45 minutes when Lloyd White added to the score, when his shot found the back of the net.
The second half was a continuation of the first, when after 5 minutes of the restart Lloyd White added his second, to end Dartmouth’s hopes of getting back into the game.
Cullompton were playing some attractive football and full of confidence.
Goals were coming at regular intervals now: Aiden adding his second after 70 minutes, followed by his hat trick goal 5 minutes later.
Lloyd White completed his hat trick on 80 minutes before Aiden completed the rout on 86 minutes, scoring his 4th goal and the teams 7th.
A very good performance by Cullompton against a demoralised Dartmouth side.
It looks like Dartmouth will be relegated from our league, and if they are, good luck next season.
